Longega

Longega

At the exit of the last tunnel along the main road through Val Badia, you are welcomed in Longega, the first inhabited locality of Val Badia. Set between two rivers at 1000 metres above sea level, Longega, which in Ladin means “near the water”, doesn’t offer many special touristical attractions or infrastructures. The few ones it offers are though very special and characterized by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There is a corner shop, two inns and a little restaurant, and there are some families that rent guest rooms and holiday apartments.

The intersection at Longega constitutes the entrance to Marebbe Valley and permits the first impressive view upon the majestic Dolomites of Marebbe, which glow in bright red in the setting sun and fade gradually to a pale violet before ceasing to the darkness of the night.
