Cross-country skiing

If you choose San Vigilio to spend your winter holidays you should also grasp the chance to try cross-country skiing. The 12km-long Marebbe Valley, which leads from San Vigilio into the Nature Park Fanes Senes Braies, is the most beautiful place to practice this most enchanting sport. Circular interconnected track sections in all lenghts, the longest stretching over 24km, provide the ideal practice terrain for skiers of all levels of expertise. The tracks begin officially at “Pespesc” in San Vigilio and may be accessed for free. Half way along the trail and at its end there are refuges that offer food and shelter. The courses in cross-country skiing organized by the schools of San Vigilio take place in the drill ground at the beginning of the trails.
