From the Museum Ladin Ćiastel de Tor we set off together to discover SMACH. Val dl'Ert (Art Valley), an open-air sculpture park that was recently awarded one of 10 honorable mentions in the National Landscape Award 2022-2023. Along the path you will see more than 23 works of art set in an alpine forest, among fir trees and pastures on a stretch of unspoilt nature. This is a permanent exhibition of sculptures acquired as a result of previous editions of the SMACH. Biennial, a temporary public art festival in the high mountains involving the entire valley, which is now in its 6th year (opening July 8th).
After the Val dl’Ert guided tour, you can have a light lunch at the Museum Ladin bar, and afterwards you can independently visit the museum where you can immerse yourself in the history, culture and traditions of the Ladin people.

The trail is not suitable for people with mobility disabilities, nor for wheelchairs or strollers.

Route

Once in St. Martin, continue for about 1 km in the direction of Würzjoch until you reach the Museum Ladin Ciastel de Tor. There is a free car park available there.

Good to know

Bring the confirmation of the reservation. It is important to have trekking shoes and mountain wear.
It is also useful to bring a water bottle because there is no drinking water along the way.
