The route will take you along less-frequented roads, where you will discover old houses and historic farms, built in the traditional Ladin style.

The Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park also has a heart, and that is called Braies Lake. The Braies Lake is located in an untouched rock basin and is overlooked by the majestic Seekofel, it is also considered the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites. To see it all, a walk of one and a half hours on the easy circular path is enough. For our spring special and autumn special, we offer you the opportunity to book a seat on the bus that will take you directly to Braies Lake. Here you will have the opportunity to hike and stroll on your own for a few hours before returning to San Vigilio. Our guides are happy to accompany you with the road bike. Our beautiful Dolomites offer us a variety of possibilities. We have many passes to choose from, but also some beautiful secondary roads with less traffic during the high season. In our area, however, it is important to arrive with trained legs, because we are forced to pedal several climbs. Bike and helmet are not included.

From the Ladin Museum we set off together to discover SMACH Val dl'Ert (Art Valley), an open-air sculpture park which in 2023 has one of the special mentions in the National Landscape Award sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Culture. Along the path you will see more than 25 works of art set in an alpine forest, among the fir trees and pastures of a stretch of unspoilt nature. This is a permanent exhibition of sculptures acquired as a result of the SMACH art competition, the Dolomites Biennale. After the guided tour in the Val dl’Ert you can independently visit the Ladin Museum where you can immerse yourself in the history, culture and traditions of the Ladin people.

The Museum Ladin Ursus ladinicus was opened
in St. Kassian in July 2011 and is dedicated to the
prehistoric cave bear and the geology of the Dolomites. On three floors, visitors can learn everything about the history and habitat of the cave bears that lived around 40,000 years ago.
On display are original bones, teeth and skulls of
a new species of cave bear, the Ladin Ursus ladinicus. A separate section uses beautiful fossils to illustrate the most important stages in the formation of the Dolomites.
The Museum Ladin „Ciastel de Tor“ is located in the castle of San Martino in Badia and is dedicated to the inhabitants of the Dolomite Ladin valleys and to their history and culture.The local identity is based on the Ladin language, an ancient combination of dialects formed by the union of Latin, Rhaetian and Nordic languages.
In the Museum you can discover the handicraft traditions and customs of this alpine population, which evolved in conjunction with the extraordinary natural landscape.
For those who want to spend an active afternoon
fun but also relaxation, a visit to the Cron4 swimming pool in Reischach is a must. With 6 pools of different depths and lengths, it is ideal for families with children as well as demanding swimmers. And with the heated pool in the outdoor area with a view of the Kronplatz and a 75-metre-long water slide, there's a good chance you won't want to leave the pool at all! The offer includes free entry to the pool area.
