Treasure troves of Ladin culture

Museums are treasure troves, safe but fortunately open to everyone, in which history, culture and art are conserved. Conscious of the importance of over a millennium of history and culture specifically formed in the shadow of the Dolomites, at the turn of the millennium Ladinia has shown the desire and ability to make its history and culture publicly safe; a task which was previously often entrusted to private initiative and collectors. Museum Ladin, in Ciastel Tor in San Martino in Badia, is now a milestone and one of the foundations of cultural activity of the whole Ladin area. But that’s not all. In their own way MMM Corones, at the peak of San Vigilio mountain, and “Pic museum ladin” hosting the remains of Ursus ladinicus, found in the Conturines grotto in the Fanes Senes and Braies nature park, also contribute.
