A spectacular hike of about 6 hours in the picturesque landscape of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park. From the center of San Vigilio, you can easily reach the Pederü hut by bus, an ideal starting point for entering the Fanes valley. On path no. 7, which quickly ascends in the valley floor and is surrounded by rugged rock walls, breathtaking views of the main peaks of the region open up.
After about two hours on foot, you reach the sight of the Fanes hut at 2100 m altitude. The hut is located on a plateau from which you can admire the unspoiled nature of the Dolomites. The hut is an ideal place to rest before continuing the hike towards Lé de Limo (Limo lake) to then reach the Gran Fanes Alm. From the Alm, follow the high path no. 1 to Col de Locia. It is easy to imagine how the landscape may have inspired the legends surrounding this area: the green, flower-covered meadows and the clear lakes reflecting the peaks of the nearby mountains paint a charming, fairytale-like picture. If you continue along the path, you reach the Capanna Alpina, which lies in the shadow of the famous Lagazuoi, one of the most striking mountains of the entire Alpine arc.

Directions
From the center of San Vigilio, take bus no. 462 to the Pederü hut. Take path no. 7 on the right side, which leads to the Fanes Alm.
After about two hours on foot, you reach the sight of the Fanes hut at 2100 m altitude. The path continues towards Lé de Limo (Limo Lake) on path no. 11 and then reaches the Gran Fanes Alm. From the Alm, follow the high path no. 1 still on path no. 11 to Col de Locia. If you continue along the path, you reach the Capanna Alpina, which lies in the shadow of the famous Lagazuoi. From here, continue to the bus parking area towards Sciaré Bridge. Bus 465 towards Corvara takes you to La Villa/Stern. There, take bus no. 460 towards Bruneck and change in Longega/Zwischenwasser, where bus no. 461 will bring you back to San Vigilio.

The starting point is easily accessible by the following public transportation.
By bus line 462 from San Vigilio center to Pederü. For the return trip, take bus line 465 towards Corvara to La Villa/Stern, change there and continue with bus line 460 to Longega/Zwischenwasser. Then continue with bus line 461 back to the center of San Vigilio.
